It's like losing the captain of a ship, I think it's important news and the risks are future direction of the company with a new CEO. The reaction u saw today is fairly standard as market hates uncertainty. We don't even know who the new CEO might be and if current acting CEO will stay on in this position. I wouldn't dismiss such news willy nilly.
