Well perhaps helm is wrong word (although its probably more an executive function than a board function).

The board left an executive team who could not achieve the task at hand in control of day-to-day operations.

I agree Ron is part of the board.

I expect Ron let it run because he wanted David to have a reasonable shot at it.

No doubt stepping down was going to be painful, even if it was in the best interest of shareholders. Should have happened a lot earlier.

That is why I think he has stepped in to fill the breach - he feels some measure of responsibility.

I am not seeing the HMD MD job as 80 hours+ a week. I have seen MDs of large organisations put in less if the rest of the executive are very active.

I expect that Keith, Annoushka and our former CFO are being stepped up. They will be working very hard.

I could be wrong, just my take on things.
