I tried telling you guys this. Institutional lending isn’t subject to responsible lending guidelines - the level of due diligence was likely not very high.
If you’re wondering why this type of lending is given - look at how much profit/revenue the big four make out of their respective institutional segments. A portion of the lending is very speculative.
