The only reason I'd give 2 days notice at my workplace is if I've been asked to leave and they are "attempting" to make it not look too bad or there has been some internal commotion and I've had enough of their sh!t.
Otherwise if i've been somewhere for 6 years then it's generally 4 weeks notice or at LEAST 2 weeks with agreements from management.
