I'm giving alternative reasons for why the CFO may have left. You're all assuming a reason and presenting it as fact, when you simply don't know.
And yes, having started in 2020 and being loaded with options he may have decided to leave to pursue another role knowing that the company is already on the pathway to deliver him value on those options without him having to continue working in the business. So he can go somewhere else, get loaded up with shares and options there too, in addition to a salary, and work with a new company that is growing.
Until the ex CFO jumps on the forum and tells us why he in fact resigned, then we're playing a bit of a Schrodinger's Cat here where all options are equally as likely to be right as they are to be wrong.
