Although I no longer have a financial interest in CUE, I am not the least bit surprised by this announcement. Remember the billion dollar company in 5 years? As I have said before the model that CUE have worked under in the recent past is no longer relevant because of the massive cost increases in this industry, especially offshore, and they would do everyone a favour by considering a merger with a number of other related oil companies. I feel vindicated.
