They were selling off everything they could lay their hands on, presumably setting themselves up for yet another tilt at some crackpot idea - whilst making these types of announcements.

So who are the people that walk in and out of this company spending millions of dollars and leaving a trail of destruction?
....and Layton - was he just cannon fodder whilst the next plan was being put together?
