Sometimes people think something won't be an issue (or is manageable) in theory, but when it comes to actually doing it that changes (either through self realisation or an external element that changes the calculation). Similarly, I know stories of hires done based on the gift of the ** to then only find out the emperor has no clothes on.
Not saying that's the case here, but these things can happen.
Without further information who can say. But with what little information we have without much helpful context - a quick succession of exits is not a comforting sign. But then you counterbalance it with the recent exposure of VML to the strategic interest of the Canada and US Governments, that's somewhat comforting.
