I'm sorry but aren't "I was aware it was coming" and "I knew it was coming" the same thing? That's a strange argument saying that you never actually said the word "knew", just that you were "aware".

Why am I familiar? Because I have finally decided to say the same thing as others? I only have a very small investment here but it still annoys me that I will lose a couple of thousand because I got caught trying to roll the dice. Partly my fault but I have lost all respect for management of this company as it now looks to me like they never actually had any genuine desire to make it work. It looks like they just kept it running for their own purposes.
