I am thinking there’s a few alternative reasons too
1. The directors responsible for the mess feel they should leave for creating the mess [laughter]
2. The directors didn’t want to leave but the Instos demanded it - it seems possible reading between the lines of the announcement, but then one long-term Director from 2012 is still there
3. The directors were worried about “pitchfork-wielding peasants” small shareholders descending on the AGM and lambasting the Board for hours in a public humiliation. I must admit I have been getting my pitchfork ready
