Who said buying shares was the only thing Directors do? Directors are there to look after shareholder's interests first and foremost. As a shareholder, I don't see much value added by Mr Russell Barwick in his short little tenure on the board hence my comment - he won't be missed by me and I am happy we no longer have to pay his Director fees. Clearly Mr Barwick didn't allign himself with shareholders with his pissy little 5,000 shares also.
So not at all sad to see this guy go, and hopefully we can bring on a non-exec who actually looks after shareholder's interest and puts some heavy skin in the game so that not only shareholders are to suffer at his/her performance as a Director.
My opinion of course, others (presumably yourself) may have been happy with Mr Barwick's performance. You're in your right to have that opinion, but I don't know how one can come to this conclusion logically.
