Must admit I was a little put off to see the performance shares triggered and now Mr Melrose resigning, apparently all as a result of announcing the long awaited phase 1 trial. Why didnt it happen earlier? Why wouldnt he hang on another 6 months and watch it take off? I am a true cynic so this has made me a bit nervous I must admit. Why is it never simple? Why not just a good announcement without all this triggering huge bonuses by doing so.
