... the team was struggling to make an impact. A new captain came along and took charge. The team was energised, they believed in their captain. The captain steered the team into a much stronger position. The team was bouyed, the grand final was looking like a probability. Mid season the captain left (for whatever reason). The team was shocked. The team lost its energy, focus and direction. The team drifted back into mediocrity.
