The announcement literally says he's there for 4 months because he's contractually obligated to do so. If it was a genuine personal issue, they'd let him out of his contract to take care of that.
Additionally, one would assume that the current COO would be all over what's going on in the company and certainly wouldn't need 4 months of handover from an outgoing CEO who's only been there twice that long himself.
Given everyone is speculating, my first thought is that he's been offered something else, but why jump ship now, when everything appears to be coming up Milhouse. The mind boggles....Looking forward to a follow up announcement from the company out of sheer curiosity.
