Well I am speechless.
The ann includes a paragraph of praise for MT, so that tells me that he and the company are on good terms, as does the fact that he is staying on for four months.
If it were a matter of MT making a career choice, then it is likely that he would still be CEO for 4 months while the company does a "global search" for replacement, yet John has been appointed acting CEO immediately and with MT acting as consultant- this suggests that there is indeed some "personal reason" as to why MT can't devote the full working week to the company, yet he will do what he can.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
