I got one of those letters too … Mine came in one of those big high quality A4 envelopes that have the stamps printed in the corner and I think cost $4.44 each (in bulk) instead of 60c a stamp plus whatever cheap envelopes cost.

The paper the Drake message was printed on seemed remarkably cheap for the quality of the ‘cover’!
