Datt had no issues with the project. Datt had plenty of issues with the BOD. Contrary to those who seem to think Datt is some sort of great satan, he was trying and trying to get the BOD into a match fit configuration to fully capitalise on what they have and what may be yet to come. When it was made clear that was never going to happen he took his money and moved on. Fair enough. There is more than one very prospective project looking for capital, I won't mention names so as not to cross promote, but the bottom line is it was nothing to do with the drilling or geology. Would eveyone bagging him have preferred he stayed on like a miserable ghost causing corporate dissent? Large foundational holders have to think differently to retail, and fair enough, not to mention he has a fiduciary duty to his investors to put his capital to work in the best places, and where it is welcome. He didn't want to be in a bad marriage long term, and he has the courage of his convictions to make a clean break. The ridiculous over reaction from some of the retail elements just perfectly shows why retail is considered dumb money. Too emotional, no facts, just blindly following rumours. The bigger question for holders and more specifically long term holders is why Datt had issues with the BOD and what can be done to avoid those shortcomings into the future. Or is everyone just fine with being diluted continually as and when it suits those on the BOD to do so? Datt was doing you all a favour trying to improve the company, and you're too blind to see it.
