USA inflation data is rocketing ahead with more to come! Expecting the RBA to start hiking rates in May/June 2022... interesting to see how they time it with the upcoming election.
A NIM increase of 0.20% on a $13b mortgage book is an extra $26 million...
Most recent HY NPAT figure of $53.5m... if we get rate rises it'll put RMC in the ballpark of circa $133 million annual NPAT or EPS around $0.33 depending on the level buyback.
These figures don't include any provision for the unwinding of the bad debt provisions, loan book growth/attrition rate, or the once-off IT spend that won't be continuing... so there is further upside! #GLTAH
