RMD SP dropped -9.59% on the NYSE overnight. The Financial Review reported, "A $US255 million ($327 million) provision for a tentative settlement with the Australian Tax Office pushed ResMed’s bottom line into the red in the third quarter."
This 'tax issue' was the result of a full audit by the ATO, commenced back in 2018. If you take this once of, out of the equation for the current quarter, their results are quite reasonable given the ongoing impact and restrictions imposed by COVID-19 around the world.
I will wait for the dust to settle, but will most likely be using this as an opportunity to add to my existing holdings. Nothing structurally has changed about this great company.
