The more I look into this deal the more I don't like it. I'm not a fan of companies taking big bites of the cherry for returns that don't seem to match the purchase price.
The other thing that doesn't sit well with me is that Brightree was actively looking for a buyer, had Private Equity owners and had been on its own acquisition campaign. PE involvement should ring alarm bells for anyone I think.
The deal could very well propel RMD to the next level but it just doesn't sit well with me, so I sold half my stake this morning, I've been a long term holder so I'm lucky enough to have the remainder of my stake going for nothing.
I hope the deal does turn into a winner for all holders, but risk has increased with this deal.
