One of the problems is investors treat Africa like it is a country and not a huge continent. Some countries are no riskier than Australia, while others I would not touch with a 10 foot pole on moral grounds alone (DRC is one). I do think there is good money to be made investing in the "good" countries given the way investors apply an almost constant risk factor across all projects in Africa.
