What gets me is that a shareholder can buy 1 share in a company and put forward this sort of resolution which wastes both time and money for the company as it clearly will get rejected.
At the same time large investment funds are allowed to manipulate the share price by using BOT programs and shorting strategies and legally shareholders can do nothing about that.
