    They already know in regards to Mt Kitty, 6%, and given that the basement rock is similar under the salt seals and helium is trapped by them, it’s probably almost certain that helium is trapped there also. Uranium gives up one helium molecule when it decays into Thorium and this is the process that creates the deposits there.
