    Response to gold 5K

Agree it was good to hear 4 rigs on the go. May not translate into a lot of activity visible with sentinel over the last 5 days.

Clear skies, plus a bonus pass on 20/6, with my main observations for Minyari activity being at Geo1 and limited for Minyari main in the area of the initial DDH site.

Geo 1 had a lot of activity, as with the last interp, but again the majority of sites appear close, or coincident, with previous work.

May not be all activity with size generally reflecting how definitive and/or precise.

    Transposed to Google Earth
2 or 3 definite new sites and possibly more in the circled area.
Continued 'interest' in the recently acquired IGO area and near Rizzo??

    ========================

Since RM has stated 4 rigs on site I assume
1 DD.plodding away and won't leave much trace
1 AC rig beavering away and producing a lot of meters but not too obvious. Used for first pass and to give targets for RC. No evidence noted for activity at Parklands. Will look at the more regional targets though real needle in haystack for these with thousands of square kms to search. Some obvious locations though which will be my priority and presumably AZY's as well.
2 RC rigs. Usually leave quite a recognizable trace so maybe what I mentioned last time is the result of this. Bit rapid but possible.

RM did mention resource build was a major goal so more drilling at WACA would fit that as well as 'enigmatic' sites at Geo 1 being infill.

Detail timelapse showing the most obvious (all?) activity at Minyari main. These sites are close to those in the previous post but looks like two new sites, One probably has a drill rig on it (3)

I did hesitate to put out these data - limited new and almost more uncertainties than real info.

From my previous post I had begun to wonder why the team are setting up drill patterns that show deviations from historical grid style drilling. The complex structure of the area is probably the answer but only with the detail now available are they able to begin targeting in a more meaningful way.

The initial grid was set up some 40-50 years ago and has served its purpose. Pre GPS days great for local location purposes but does mean there is a bias for where to point your drill rigs Azimuth 058/238 along the lines which was the case for the majority of most pre AZY work. AZY did use this general azimuth but began experimenting(?) with variations - some were successful at Minyari going back to 2017 with this plan from then:

I haven't cross referenced these data - too much work - but suspect some of the recent Minyari main sentinel sites set up recently will add to this pattern albeit at a different azimuth..

Here is an extremely simplified summary of azimuths used in the Minyari dome area.

The recent pattern of 5 holes suggests two major azimuth possibilities as shown with orange arrows. SE is IMO the most likely though any azimuth is possible from an individual drill pad.
Some historical traces are shown in white. Most of the others are grid east and not shown.

    Minyari is a complex beast.
    • structurally - folded and faulted with plunging components
    • lithologically controlled, in part(?) or dominantly.
    • mineralisation controlled by the above plus competency contrasts and ??
    • Mineralisation Au + Cu + Co + Ag

Discovered some 30 years before Karlawinda which has since been in production for some 5 years. Why still in the ground?

IMO the main reasons are complexity and to a lesser extent location and management/ownership among many factors.

Karlawinda is almost like mining a coal deposit that follows rail track like simplicity (Gross exaggeration but may not be too far off in a comparative sense). A real success story for CMM which has been leveraged well with Mt Gibson.

Minyari with, arguably, higher grades has been compared to Karlawinda in the past and, with variations, IMO could emulate its standalone success in the current Au price regime over the next few years.

With a new neighbour to the south and on the ASX interesting times ahead.
