For Canadian companies they have Cdn Tax and Reporting implications past 19.9%. Kirkland will take a run at the company or sell the 20%. They won't be interested in a larger slice of DEG.
Who would oppose them before any Novo results? In a couple years they have another AUS mine producing. If your constructive on the price of gold, 2 years out, and a base resource of 1.5 - 2.0 Mozs its not a big risk. Conglomerates gravy. Lithium free.
That's what I'd be doing if I was Kirkland, but then again, I not as risk adverse as a public company.
