I think that generally this is a good result however the devil is in the detail. If you look at figure 4 in the release you will see that the ore blocks extend down to 110m below surface. As the iron ore will be mined by open cut it seems unlikely that the ore blocks below ?50m from the surface will be mined. This is because of the relatively steep dip of the ore zone and the fact that more overburden needs to be mined as the open cut gets deeper.How much of the resource falls in the -50m category is unknown. The other thing to note is the high silica (SiO2)content of the ore even in the "DSO" material. Normally you would like this to be closer to 5% not over 10%.
WDR has good potential to make a lot of money from mining the near surface higher grade material but don't believe all of the hype coming from the company. My personal opinion.
