Anyway. Now you're taking higher maths and it appears Australian students have an aversion to it. The ones that haven't are being snapped up as Engineers or ICT specialists.
It used to be said that those strong in science but weak in maths should do geology. That's not what I'm finding those guys are using computing power, maths and AI to locate ore bodies. That's where I want use of the second derivative you mentioned.
In fact BHP and others are so short of those "geeks" they allow them to work largely independently of the company on data sets that are rewarded by various formsof prizes.
