I'd guess management are currently leaving their options open. Just about every junior gold explorer stinks at the moment and probably will until gold is well north of USD$2K/oz. My thinking is that they believe they have another "Great Bear" on their hands and would certainly entertain the right price. A billion or thereabouts would probably do it

According to their quarterly Kinross are drilling the shit out of Great Bear at the moment and getting some headline results.
