    Oh so true Gindaldan. Australians would be so much worse off without it. I am not all that impressed with the mining sector due to its environmental influence on our natural environment but we must have steel for our infrastructure. As you say BHP shareholders have prospered well from excellent consistent dividend streams, capital returns and value from other divestments regardless of their mistakes. They must also plan well into the future and the copper tilt with an opportunistic play on Anglo American is compelling if you detach yourself from the present at look at a longer term future where Africa will be the main supplier of iron ore with probably much stronger ties with China.
