Dumb reaction by the market. A large chunk of the proposal involves divestment of marginal and risky South African assets. The actual price being offered for South American copper, QLD coke and Brazilian high grade iron ore mine is very good with likely synergies.
Im pro this, assuming it does go ahead. Also hedges against Australia which has been hostile of recent to mining, oil and gas under the current government.
