Good point. But what stops PRU or Silvercorp from buying up at 57.5 to the required level to get the takeover vote across the line? Then they get the rest at the reduced rate- offer price? Would probably save them some $ doing this way... Rather than having a bidding war and ending up going over say 60cts..
