I agree those two are particularly different and comparing the PE is fairly meaningless. I own MNY (but have been selling down recently) and have been in and out of CCP over time, including today. I've also owned PNC. I have a long held view of CLH and actually think there is more "interesting" things to find in their historical numbers than CCP personally.
Within the 3, PNC is even quite different to CCP and so is CLH. PE is a poor metric for comparing the relative performance and value of CCP, CLH and PNC in my opinion.
