It's nice that the ASX is looking after us investors, but when they launch an investigation like this, in public, the damage is done regardless of the innocence of the company. Like having your name plastered all over the front page of the tabloids only to receive an apology with 2 lines on page 23. If they really want to protect us, surely it would make sense to deal with the company in private until they have proof of any alleged misconduct.
