aside from day old newspaper reports and articles, brokers played this role, and boy did it cost.

My first trades were made on the back of information I gained from working on the construction of gas and mining jobs.

Had to go off to a dingy back alley stockbroker where they'd convince you to buy 3 or 4 stocks on top of the one you were there to purchase.

From memory I think I paid around $200 to make a $6000 trade.
