Just to recap. The accountant CFO presumably first produced the half year accounts with errors and omissions and that didn’t balance with the 4C. The accountant CEO ( who was previously the CFO) didn’t pick up the errors, despite sticking out like a sore thumb. The independent auditors apparently reviewed the report and didn’t pick anything up (one of their jobs being specifically to check the half year matches the quarterly report) Every single one of the board of directors reviewed it and didn’t find anything wrong. Finally, the Chairman of the board, chartered accountant and ex partner of Deloitte then signed off on a report with errors that a fifth form accounting student would pick up.
It beggars belief ( IMO )
