Yes @invertedva , the shorts are a part of the fund accumulation, but I was surprised that we saw "just" 14m shares of short selling associated with a total trading volume of about 100m. On March 17 last year, when the MSCI Global small cap rebalance happened we saw similar 101m shares traded on that day but associated with 33m shares shorted... (go back to that day on shortman)
There was a lot of liquidity available from elsewhere on that sad Thursday last week...
