Ann: Response to ASX Price and Volume Query , page-2

Did anyone else notice that this is somewhat less positive then previous announcements?

Maybe I am overthinking it but some hypotheses / ideas:

1/ A transaction is actually very very close and this is a defensive reaction to offset any "leak" accusation ?? i.e. the reason the SP has shot up is actually because the market already "knows" things are v close? or

2/ MF et al are pissed off with RC and cant stand to see the SP rise potentially being associated with his possible return - they are trying to fight the "momentum" building behind RC's campaign and fear that teh mroe the SP rises now the greater his chances of success?

3/ Things are not progressing that well and they are now fearful that the will not deliver a deal and are t5rying to reset expectations?


Anyway...just some thoughts...possibly all rubbish but throw them out there anyway
