I have previously spoken to Commsec over the phone about this and their take is that there are algorithms involved which "randomly" allow .0005c trades. I am not sure what that means and I guess that is what Commsec wanted to achieve. I went away none the wiser but unable to push for any answers. To me "it is what it is" its basically seems like luck of the draw.
