    I understand what you’re saying, however should a reversal occur tomorrow (hypothetically) you may also risk getting caught out with an average very close to the ATH, particularly on days like today when the SP rises so quickly. Naturally, I didn’t mean a stock that keeps going down.

    I suppose it boils back down to the person’s strategy, nothing wrong with averaging down on long term positions and taking advantage of lows (e.g. March 0.19c). Just means that you’ve probably mis-timed your original entry point. Conversely I can see how your averaging up works within a more swing trading strategy - thanks for sharing!
