I also have an Interactive Brokers account and bought some shares of ASM (on the AMX) on the opening day. If you remember we were supposed to get cash, but received ASMMF shares sometime after the opening day of trading. I tried to guess how much cash I would receive, and buy the equivalent amount of ASM shares. I underestimated, but still got 38K shares. Then we received the ASMMF shares totally unexpectedly (in my case anyway). So, I feel very fortunate to own both!! I do like your strategy of selling off your ASMMF and buying ASM. I may try the same thing.
