I have known Ernie Myers for some 15 years .... I am of the opinion that he wants this to unfold to be a massive achievement both personally and for the memory of the former Chairman, David Kennedy, who backed the company through some of its darkest times. I reject that Ernie is involved in treating PCL as a gravy train and the implication of bad behaviour that this statement engenders. Barry Rushworth has long promoted the potential of PEL87 and I was at an AGM somewhere around 2019/20 (before Covid) when he did a presentation to the meeting on what he saw as the geological structure of the area and its potential for Oil and Gas. He described it as a classic River delta formation of which there were very few of this type left available on the planet. Iain Smith was drafted across from NWE to PCL as he worked with Myers and Kennedy there. These blokes may not be the sharpest knives in the draw but I think they are doing their best to bring home one of the biggest rags to riches stories of our time.
