Alcoa are not an ASX listed company and have no obligation to answer or comment.The normal protocol for companies
like Alcoa is to leave all announcements to locally listed JV partners (TSV). TSV has already made an announcement and it sounds like discussions are currently going on with the aim of getting Alcoa to commit to further appraisal drilling.
It will be interesting though to see if you get any response from the scribe at the Australian.I doubt it.
Australian jounalists are widely recognised as being amongst the worlds laziest.Big on gossip and opinion and low on fact and analysis.You only have to look at some of the garbage they have served up on the proposed mining tax.
I dont have a position yet but am seriously considering it.
