ASX wont do anything within a short period - but if sustained, the Company will be asked for a reminder of their responsibilities and whether they are adamant if they know anything/reason for the price run up. After that - it normally runs as long and hard as possible and then ASX will monitor the outcomes of forthcoming decisions.

So lets say a company's price ran up - they had nothing to disclose after 2 speeding tickets - then announce something that should have been known or released to the market. Then company would be in big trouble
