Unless they are using specifically their IP then all is good, nothing wrong with copying an idea especially if it's a good one. Early day shoot em up games like Wolfenstein, Doom, spawned a myriad of copy cats and some were successful and moved the genre forward. I've been playing games since the 70's so I've seen it all
