I asked my staff who are Indian migrants and unfortunately for IDP, they have a bad reputation because their tests are perceived as being intentionally difficult to make more money. They explained that to pass the IELTS test, you have to pass all 5 modules but the problem with IELTS is even if you pass 4 out of 5 modules but fail 1 module, you’ll be forced to pay and take all 5 modules again. So there’s a risk that you’ll fail some modules which you passed the first time and be forced to do it all over again. I’ve been told that some students have had to pay thousands of dollars to take the IELTS test over and over again because of this rule.
