PTE has a reputation amongst the Indian immigrants to be the “easier” test compared to IELTS especially when aiming to get the max points for each module in the English tests. The speaking module in PTE is through a computer (vs IELTS’ which you will need to speak to a human assessor) so they believe PTE eliminates the “human bias” during speaking tests.
Of course this is still case by case since some people would rather talk to a human being and not worry about technical difficulties when using a machine during the speaking tests.
