from the recent podcast with Sean I think it should be obvious to everyone that companies have decided not to proceed… or put their project on hold…
the akida tech is great and that’s been shown by many partners of the advantages. But so far has not proven to be essential hence why the big guys
qualcomm
nvidia
apple
samsung
dell
intel
etc etc etc have not signed a license.
as the insiders have stated a few times now current tech is “good enough”
maybe gen 2 will be different?
maybe gen 3…
maybe gen 10
time will tell… the good news is that many quite large companies are seeing the advantages of shifting to neuromorphic. Microchip, infinion and onsemi as examples are beginning to play experiment and find solutions for the tech.
the explosion didn’t happen in 2022… maybe 2025 maybe 2030… or possibly even never.
what I find fascinating is renesas… what happened to their chip? Has it been scrapped entirely? Or are they waiting to “tip the market” as Antonio would say
