Thinking about it, this response to the ASX police (who clearly have nothing better to do this week) is the only viable one. Even if the announcement was ready to go, if ARL had released it as a reaction to the query - it could have been argued that there was material new information floating around and further investigation would have been triggered.
So the 'nothing new to see here' approach is absolutely correct, a bit more time to dot the i's and cross the t's. Oh and get some signatures of course!
