An interesting thing to about space orbits is that satellites are being launched into closer orbits to earth for shorter life as gravity pulls them to Earth but benefits the ones used to view and take pictures of the Earth. Also to the change in technology like back up systems that prevent collision and course change and do self diagnostic check ups needs to be progressive in updating systems, the chip will be in demand for satellites, like you say, if something works in space which is the next area of mans exploration, the moon or building a small colony and station on the moon.

Although if you believe the utube stuff about the moon, maybe we are not welcome there, i would have thought we would already have the technology to put a life supportive system on the moon. All this stuff i guess is intriguing. So we need a sort of ai system robot to operate a moon base just to test the physical aspects of manning such an environment. Also just think about the view out into space if a base was placed on the Dark side of the moon.

star wars kind of thinking, we really need to give the chip a Han solo kind of approach.
