interesting questions but they still missed one very important question - is SVY still drilling. If the answer is yes, then check who was buying - the drillers' girlfriends perhaps? lol
Cu visuals are easily observed (in most cases) and if one sees cores coming out full of copper sulphides then the buying mystery is solved.

but leaks from ALS are also possible. many have argued such leaks are not possible but where there is money to be made, there is a way.

the industry is a joke and almost every ASX listed company leaks. we always observe buying or selling prior to release of assay results and those early movers trades are way too accurate to be called random luck as they are very good at predicting poor results as well as strong results. in some cases they even know how far to chase the SP.

this is general comment for all ASX (TSX probably much better) resource companies.

what is known for sure is SVY does not have any assay results in hand. so if this is assay results driven then it seems to be (smells that way) ALS leak (if the Lab has any results in hand). If ALS does not have any results to date and SVY is still drilling then it is strong visuals as most likely suspect so leaks are probably coming from SVY and/or the drillers.

what I think is the lowest possible scenario - punters just taking bets on pending assay results - the volumes were too big and the jump in SP was too strong for such and copper prices are under pressure, so the appetite is not there. also, we are in the slow period where trading volumes are low due to people being on holidays. but anything's possible.

all speculation on my part.
